In order to enhance cleaness, Mporokoso Town Council has continued its noble routine of observing Keep Zambia Clean Green and Health Campaign exercise scheduled for every last Friday of the month, from 07 : 00 hours to 09 : 00 hours.
This morning, the cleaning exercise which was led by Mporokoso Town Council Chairperson Mr. Nick Nkole and Council Secretary Mr. Henry Siwakwi, attracted most members of staff from different departments of the District.
After the cleaning exercise, the Council Chairperson thanked officers for turning up to cleaning exercise and urged those that do not show up for such kind of government programs, to at least provide evidence or supporting documents to state the reason why they could not attend the cleaning exercise,
Mr. Nkole said, “the cleaning should involve everyone, so next time let’s clean the Market, hospital and Schools, he added.”
Meanwhile, the Council Secretary applauded Officers for their efforts and encouraged everyone to keep the same spirit of responding to the call whenever called upon
Mr. Siwakwi later advised all the staff to take kin interest of keeping their bodies fit by coming for sports in the afternoon after keep Mporokoso Clean Green and Health exercise to avoid non communicable diseases. The Cleaning was conducted along Mporokoso Kawambwa and Mukolwe roads.
