The Mporokoso District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) held its 2nd quarter meeting to discuss key developmental issues in the District. District Commissioner Mr Brian Muyuni who is the Chairperson of the DDCC emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in managing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to boost public confidence and create Jobs.
The chairperson highlighted CDF role in bridging the gup between rural and urban area. He urged members to take part in promoting hygiene and to participate in the keep Mporokoso Clean Green and healthy programs and ensure sustainable development through tree planting.
In addition, Mr. Muyuni pointed out that the coming in of the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) and Legal Aid offices in the District, would enrich reports under the fourth pillar. He called upon members to sensitive the publuc about the availability of these services in the district so that the public vould access them.
He further expressed gratitude for the arrival of the three earth moving equipments and assured the members that there would be remarkable improvements in the feeder roads accessibility.
Members were informed that the acquisition of the TLB was under the procurement process. The three procured earth moving equipments includes,
Tipper truck, grader and roller compactor.
