Management also presented a Ministry circular directing a 20% rates relief for specific categories, including micro and small enterprises and residential properties. Councillors welcomed the measure, noting it will ease hardship and encourage local business growth.

The Council further discussed 2025 CDF empowerment concerns, advising management to engage the Ministry for timely fund allocation to support youth enterprises, women’s cooperatives, and ensure fair distribution.

Other matters raised included the urgent need to connect water to completed projects, speed up work at the bus station among other issues.

Closing the meeting, the Council Chairperson thanked Councilors for constructive debate and encouraged them and management for teamwork in serving the community.
