FOURTH QUARTER DDCC MEETING HELD
The District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) held its Fourth Quarter meeting to deliberate on various developmental issues affecting Mporokoso District.
During the meeting, different thematic pillars presented their respective reports, highlighting progress made as well as challenges encountered. Key challenges raised included
The need for a serviceable vehicle for the Livestock and Fisheries Department to enhance effective service delivery.
Additionally, the Zambia Police Service was requested to regularly provide updates on road traffic accidents to enable the DDCC to determine whether sensitization or training of motorcyclists should urgently be conducted by the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), based on recent accident trends.
Furthermore, the committee emphasized the need for more comprehensive updates on ongoing Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects across the district.
The District Commissioner, who is also the DDCC Chairperson, Mr. Brian Muyuni, commended the committee and various departments for their efforts, noting a marked improvement in departmental performance and service delivery.
However, the DDCC Chairperson encouraged members to work even harder despite the improvements, in order to meet set targets and further enhance development outcomes in the district.
